Adam Lambert fans..Enough!?
Enough about Kris Allen fans disliking Lambert because he is gay. Honestly, from this community alone, I have seen small numbers disliking him for the sole reason he is gay.
Enough already, we do not care that he is gay. People dislike Lambert for other reasons, and I think it is about time people get him off that “Oooh he is so perfect and swoon worthy” pedestal and start to treat him like a competitor. The judges favor him, which may be one reason why some of America dislikes him, however, I do recall Archuleta getting the judges vote and attention last year and look how that turned out.
I am a Danny Gokey transformed into a Kris Allen fan. I dislike Adam Lambert (not really dislike, but prefer) because I do not like the screeching, screaming. The guy has talent, sure, and pipes to match. I do not prefer hearing song after song, that starts soft and peaceful where I think “This is going to be the song that changes my mind” and then BAM..the screeching screams which makes my ears bleed.
His sexuality has nothing to do with it. Others dislike the Emo-Glam look, which I admit, I find nothing attractive in. Some do, Some don’t. So…Glambert fans, its about time you realize there are people who prefer Kris and his style of Music. John Mayer-esque, you could say. I personally prefer it, and Adam Lambert’s sexual discoveries have nothing to do with it.
If he loses though, I will be shocked and laugh. I mean hell, the guy even got CELEBRITY backing, blog writers begging him votes, performers demanding you vote for him, and the judges basically declaring him the winner.
Anyone agree? Disagree? /Discuss.
Thanks guys, for everyone’s input. And Teddy, nothing is gross about Danny fans. Everyone has a personal opinion and likes. Just because mine do not match yours – well, that does not make any fan or fan base disgusting. The same could be said about the eyeliner and hair, and Glam wannabe rock of the 80s Adam tries so zealously to express. But let’s not go there.

Well, if that isn’t a rant, I don’t know what is….
I think Kris is gonna win. Just the way the votes have been coming out these past few weeks. He’s always the one safe so I think it’s safe to say he will win.
But if Adam wins I will jump for joy. He’s got the vocals.
i disagree. i love adam. i dont like john mayer type stuff sorry. it is too boring for me i find nothing exciting about kris allen, he does have talent, but not talent that excites me. im for adam all the way. sorry.

Adam’s shriek makes my dogs cry. And I adore screaming lead singers –Think.. Robert Plant, Axl Rose, etc.

Yeah, everyones entitled to their opinion. You can’t ignore the many people that keep bringing up the whole gay thing though, now that really does get annoying. If that doesn’t apply to you, then good, don’t worry about the people who are saying that then.
I love Adam, I’m a huge fan of his and I really hope he wins because to me he is clearly the most talented. That’s all I’m gonna say. There are always gonna be people to disagree with that, but whatever it’s their opinion.
I’m a Glambert and I happen to know that Kris fans and Adam fans are the only two groups to have actually gotten along better than most groups…at least on the forums. It’s just that a lot of them have blinded themselves into thinking Kris is “good” singer. And it’s not that we’re upset that you guys don’t like Adam…we just want to get it through your think musically challenged heads what a superior singer Adam is…sorry if that offends you but its true….actually no I’m not sorry…why apologize for telling the truth lol. And as for the sexuality thing….I’ve only heard Danny fans talk about that….very rarely have I seen a Kris fan mention it.

I agree 100% with you LC. He has a great voice, but he is just a Drama King and over kills every song he does. I feel like he goes on stage and puts on a show, but there’s nothing real there. On the other hand, like Kara said, Kris makes you feel his Music. Adam very possibly can win because he’s been favored by the judges and artist and more, but I think Kris is truly an American Idol. Either way is fine for me because whoever wins Idol has to sign with Simon Cowell and that would suck. Simon and Adam can work together, I think Kris will do greeeat with another Label!
I don’t agree. I like Adam Lambert for his talent but with a competition like this, I intend to go for Kris Allen because I imagine myself listening to his Music. His voice just blew me away with ‘Aint No Sunshine’. He does incredible but with Adam’s powerful vocal ability, they both have a shot at winning. I don’t find myself hating Adam because he is gay nor any other reason for that matter. I like Adam but his screaming does get old. More likely, tonight we’ll see one of the closest votes in Idol history. Even though eveyone loves Adam, it’ll be a shocker if he doesn’t win after 5 billion people going after him. Especially the judge’s who kept on praising hims ince the begginning. Katy Perry supports him and I am sure he has a big chance also because he lives near Hollywood, where he meets celebritites. I’d love to know why people hate him though because he is gay. Anyway, Kris Allen for the win. He deserves this way more than Adam and he has a good voice. Adam does too, don’t get me wrong but Kris could be a good american idol winner for season 8.

People didn’t come up with the idea on their own, dear…it’s been plastered all over this site and others in recent weeks. A huge production has been made about something that should be a non-issue, and plenty of the people have made homophobic comments about Adam on this and other sites. So, ENOUGH is right, but it should be being said to the people making his sexuality an issue, not the people protesting that fact.
Adam did not scream in a single song last night. Hitting high notes and screaming are two different things. There’ve been Songs where he sounded screamy, but there’ve been plenty more that were not. With the exception of the interpretation of Ring of Fire, he’s been consistently good.
Kris has a good voice, though I have to listen to him with my eyes closed or the dislocated jaw look throws me and I get distracted. But he’s boring. Every song doesn’t have to be arranged into that beach bum sound. He doesn’t explore, he doesn’t strive to try new experiences. Nothing exciting there, not at all. He’s good for days when you’re laying on the sand reading a book, but that’s just not what I want to listen to every day. I like Music that gets my blood pumping, that makes me want to get up and move and laugh and have fun and live life. Kris doesn’t do that for me.
If you really think homophobia didn’t play a part in the voting last night, you’re either fooling yourself or being obtuse. Sadly, not everyone can get past that and see the Music. I have no problem with people voting for Kris if they truly like his Music better…but voting for Kris to vote *against* Adam is pathetic behavior at best.
Kris is a great singer. Nothing against him, but he could only wish for Adam’s range. Even the judges mentioned that Kara’s song was too high for Kris, which put him at a disadvantage.
I love how many of the Adam fans gripe at the Kris fans because Kris fan’s don’t appreciate the whole Glam-rock emo aesthetic. Then turn around and call Kris boring and claim he always wears the same thing. It’s two different worlds – mellow acoustic versus in-your-face theatrics. Turning it into a straight versus gay battle accomplishes nothing.
I was an Adam fan until the Top 3, and realized that Adam had not surprised me since the day he walked on stage. Adding on the fact that the judges, celebrities, and just about everyone else loves him… I’ll stick to the underdog, thanks.

Im not bitter about Danny going home he made it too the top 3 which is awesome & he’ll do way better then Kris even if Kris wins!!
I couldn’t care less that Adam is gay. I agree that is the most ridiculous assumption. Everyone is entitled to an opinon, there doesnt have to be a set-in-stone reason why you dont like someone, you have the freedom not to like them regardless.

I totally agree with you on the john mayer voice kris has. That is the type of Music i totally love cuzz it’s really soothing and relaxing, obviously unlike Adam’s who does nothing but scream [that's what i think]. For me i don’t give a hoot about Adam’s sexual preference cuzz that has nothing to do with his singing. Kris is totally incredible ESPECIALLY cuzz he knows how to play diff instruments, that is sooo much talent, plus his voice is AMAZING!!! I hear his Songs over and over and OVER again.
Oh and i do think that Adam is getting so much hype by a bunch of people, which is so not cool to do.
I watched American Idol last night only and never watched previous competition this season. I AM FOR ADAM LAMBERT ÂS A WINNER, but I do predict that Kris may have better Record sales when both contestants release their records. Kris sings like Jason Mraz or John Mayer. Adam is like Prince, Boy George or George Michael. Kris will sell more CDs because he will attract a wider fan base.
I watched YouTube on Adam’s performances elsewhere (out of American Idol) and I do agree that he does put in more “drama” into the Songs than necessary, and the mainstream listeners/viewers may not like that.
