Adam Lambert: “Shock Is Fun”
I’m sure most of you have heard about and seen Adam Lambert’s “shocking” performance on the American Music Awards (AMAs) recently from November 22nd, the day before his cd Album came out. Everyone has been RAVING about it ever since. Especially people on Twitter because I saw them buzzing all over about his performance with their opinions and thoughts. For those of you who don’t know what the fuss was all about, here’s what happened.
Adam was scheduled to perform his cd Debut song: “For Your Entertainment”, live, on the American Music Awards as the very final performance. Which (most of his fans probabley knew by understanding the lyrics from the song,) was a rather “grody”, “raunchy”, and “sexual” act on stage that shocked EVERYONE. A few thigs he performed were moves like crotch grabbing and fussing/grinding around with the male and female dancers on stage with him. The most surprising act that everyone freaked about was when he planted a big kiss on the male keyboard player. Which, the kiss, in my opinion I don’t think was a very “shocking” thing at all! Because he’s gay! He was interviewed imediately after his performance backstage by a lady from “Hollywood Access,” who of course was talking to him about his sexual acts on stage. Who straight out asked “What were you thinking?!!”
2009-11-22 American Music Awards 2009: Adam Lambert – Shock Is Fun
I think it’s hilarious how silly Adam was being in that video even though the lady was talking about how he will be the “Male Madonna.” But I like how honest he was when he said he wouldn’t be surprised if the video was edited on the West Coast. He also will feel very discriminated agaist if they do edit some parts out though, because female’s have done things like that before (such as the famous Madonna and Britney Spears kiss in 2003 on the awards.) He says that once a male does something like that everybody freaks out. He also claims that the kiss was “in the moment” with his STRAIGHT keyboard player. He DOES admit that they did not rehearse things exactly like that before the awards, but he was not being sneaky about it. He just says that he was having a lot of fun and got carried away and caught up in the moment.
Wednesday morning (November 25th), he was scheduled to perform another song on Good Morning America, but they canceled his appearance on the show because they said that they weren’t going to be able to trust him completely on what he was going to perform. Adam was asked about what he thought about Good Morning America canceling him to come on the show and he said that he understood they probabley had pressure on them from a lot of people and complaints and didn’t want to worry about it. He respects their decision because he understands that his performance was a little over the top. So, on Wednesday (November 25th), instead of going on Good Morning America, he was invited to perform on “The Early Show.” Once agan, he was asked about his performance at the AMAs. They talked about how there were many kids watching and about how many complaint calls from the parents that the channel ABC received. They also asked him if he wanted to apologize and he refused. Adam wasn’t going to apologize for anything, quote from Adam: “I’m not a babysitter, I’m a performer.” You should be honest and give an honest performance and that’s what he did. Adam said that he honestly really didn’t think about what kind of viewers he was going to have. He just went out there, performed what he was going to perform and had pure fun with it. Adam also said (children speaking), they should have been in bed by 11:00pm anyway, because his performace was nearly around 10:56pm, and that parents should have been monitoring what their kids were watching and what time they were supposed to go to bed at. The problem with him saying that is because he can’t win over the fact that “the parent’s did not expect what he was going to do.”
Adam does say that basically the theme of the song was about going to Clubs and being sexual. Later (Wednesday, November 25th), on the “Late Show With David Letterman”, Adam performed two Songs surrounded by his fans. Clean, great Songs. “Whataya Want From Me” and “Music Again”, which everyone enjoyed. Here’s an extra video of Ryan Seacrest talking to Adam on the radio about his performance:

The whole point of talking about this is to say to people, open up your eyes, you had to know something like that from him was going to happen at some point. For those of you who went to see the “Idols on Tour” (American Idol on Tour) with Adam Lambert, you saw him do some things on stage that were a bit different than when he was on American Idol. He told everyone (before the American Music Awards) that he was going to do something surprising and shocking and he was right on the spot about that with his performance. Apples and oranges people! He can’t impress EVERYONE, and if you felt uncomfortable with his performance, then your not for him!
Your Comments and opinions are extremely welcome!

Are You Sick And Tired Of Adam Lambert Lyrics?
Adam Lambert, we’ve all heard about him, and we’ve all heard of that famous song on the radio “Whataya Want From Me”, but what is he trying to express in the lyrics of his hit Songs?
“Just don’t give up….I’m working it out….please don’t give in…I won’t let you down…” Seems like a pretty great message to me. In previous interviews, Adam has said that his “Whataya Want From Me” song really explains his life of being unique and bothered by the Paparazzi, and people running with their camcorders trying to get him on tape. His life is very hectic, and that is exactly what this song interprets….or does it? Are Adam Lambert Lyrics just words written down on paper to sing, or do they have a true meaning behind them? As some of you may heard, the song “Whataya Want From Me” was originally written by P!nk, and given to Adam to add to his new Album of ’09 after the American Idol Finale broke out with results of Kris Allen being the winner. That never held Adam back, and he successfully produced an Album with Songs borrowed from P!nk, Muse, and the famous pop singer Lady Gaga. Adam didn’t ‘steal’ demo Songs or anything of that sort from singers, they were given to him. To be made better, and to create a cool edgy theme to them. The Adam Lambert Lyrics in “Fever” were slightly changed to suite Adams style. Instead of Lady Gaga’s original lyrics in that song as “There she goes, my baby walks so slow…”, Adam changed the verse simply to “There HE goes, my baby walks so slow…” So do people think that Adam Lambert Lyrics need to be completely ‘Adam-Written’? Probabley, but don’t forget he did write most portions of his Music, like the hot, catchy head-bopping song “If I Had You” that brings out Adams dating side in his life. “So I got my boots on, got the right amount of leather and I’m doing me up with a black-color liner…” If this doesn’t explain enough evidence that he really is trying to add his own traits in his songs, I don’t know what will. Kara DioGuardi helped produce this song with Adam, and it perfectly flows with his glamorizing, accessorizing looks. If you are a fan of Adam, you will completely understand all of his tough work he’s been through in the making of his Music, like his clubby– synthesizing beat “For Your Entertainment” which debuted in November for his new releasing Album. His songs are original, and pretty unique from most popular artists on the radio I must say.
If the Adam Lambert Lyrics haven’t fully evolved on you, we know Eminem already has heard of Adam Lambert, and frankly it seems he is dissing Adam a bit in his OWN lyrics, and he is annoyed of these American Idol stars. “Sorry, Lance, Mr. Lambert and Aiken ain’t gonna make it, they get so mad, when I call them both fake-its…” Adam was interviewed about what he thought about Eminem talking about him that way in his song, and he just proudly replied to the interviewer with a sarcastic twist: “Well, you know, he used a word that’s not necessarily very nice, but I’m sure he’s got some sort of justification for it. And I’m not going to take it personally. It’s cool, Eminem!” Adam said, giving a sarcastic thumbs up. “If you get mentioned in an Eminem song, you’re doing something right. And I’m sure he was planning on creating some controversy, because he’s a smart guy.”
So, there you have it, if you are sick and tired of Adam Lambert and his lyrics, then why not just listen to Eminem, he’s got a great, wonderful variety of his own, RAW lyrics, but then again, according to Eminem, you can sing about whatever you want, and it’s right to talk crap about celebrity’s who have done no harm to you, right?

Adam Lambert Songs – 3 Reasons Adam Is Not Keeping It Fresh?
So…..has anybody heard of the “new” Album Adam is releasing in December?? I have! But I wouldn’t consider it a brand new Album. This is why:
1. First off, there are no new Songs.
Correct me if I’m wrong though! I’d be incredibly glad if he was adding at least ONE new song.
2. There are only 5 Songs.
3. They are all just acoustic versions of the 5 Songs, they are all just EP’s.
But as you can see, there’s nothing really new here for people. He’s just trying to keep his Album fresh!
The good News: They are LIVE acoustic versions! AND they are made by Adam himself. No random DJ club artists, remixers and such.
Releasing brand new acoustic versions that you made overseas from your concerts is a great marketing idea to keep the fans feeding on your Music. It is a very smart move for Adam! But is it enough?
We should be appreciating Adam at least for giving us something somewhat new….but really? No new songs? What is this all about?
I’ve been waiting a whole year for a new album! I’m always excited when his EP’s come out–like the “Remixes” album that came out in April. He was keepin’ it fresh! AND he even put in a new song that he never put on his album. Voodoo. And THAT song–is what kept me hooked.
Flashback for a moment. Adam Lambert almost won American Idol in 2009, and it has been over a year since he was runner-up. He has been just as good as Kris Allen and they both had their first albums come out around the same time last year in November. They both have had hit singles on the radio. If you think about it though, Kris Allen still has just one album. So I really don’t think Adam is to blame here, it’s a matter of all the other top artists out there. Taylor Swift, for example, she’s been around for quite some time, right? Well, believe it or not she only has two albums, and the second one came out in October. Strange? Or is it normal for singers to release new albums when they feel the time is right? I think that the wait on the albums for every artist can differ on how many albums the production companies want the artist to have each year. Or it is just because they are terribly busy on touring schedules. Most of us right now are really wondering what finally makes them decide at a certain point when they should start working on their next album.
We don’t know if he is putting in a new song, we simply don’t. Maybe he will put in the song “Can’t Let You Go” in his new “Acoustics Live!” EP album next month. The “Can’t Let You Go” song is only available to get in the UK right now.
Still, if he puts in that song, it has been out already for a while. We need something raw! Something new! Original!
I just recently watched an interview of Adam and the lady asked him if were going to see anything new coming out or a new album soon and he simply replied: “Nothing has been started yet, I think I’m gonna do that in the Winter when I’m done touring.”
So there you have it.
It is a mystery. I do not have much information on if he will be adding in a song with the new EP album in december or not. There might be an interview with Adam coming up talking about his album, so stay tuned!
