In November, Lambert performed “For Your Entertainment” at the American Music Awards of 2009. The performance showed Lambert kissing a male keyboardist, grinding a dancer’s head against his pelvis, and grabbing the crotch of another. Lambert told Rolling Stone magazine, “Female performers have been doing this for years—pushing the envelope about sexuality—and the minute a man does it, everybody freaks out. We’re in 2009—it’s time to take risks, be a little more brave, time to open people’s eyes and if it offends them, then maybe I’m not for them. My goal was not to piss people off, it was to promote freedom of expression and artistic freedom.”[43] In response to his performance, the Parents Television Council, a conservative decency campaigning group,[44] urged viewers to complain to the FCC.[45] The performance, at the end of the show, was broadcast “outside the FCC’s usual 6am-10pm time frame prohibiting the broadcast of indecent material”.[46] ABC received about 1,500 telephoned complaints and announced he would not perform on Good Morning America on November 25 as planned.[47][48] CBS subsequently invited Lambert to perform instead on The Early Show, on the same date in New York City

He gave a very racy performance at the AMA’s where he simulated receiving oral sex from a male dancer and then made out with a male dancer in the middle of his song. It has caused a lot of controversy, both for its racy and outlandish nature and because some say that women do the same and it doesn’t cause nearly as much scandal – i.e. they censured Lambert in the delayed feed of the show, whereas when Madonna and Britney Spears made out on stage they allowed it. It’s quite the uproar both ways.

I’m wondering the same question right now…but i kinda realized his performance was innapropiate. Altough he wanted to show his true colors….it was a bit over the edge.This was probably the worst AMA’s.Ever.
I know you posted this to get hits. No living creature doesn’t know about the AMA thing.
But to play along, Adam’s sin was twofold: (1) being gay (see, e.g., the Nazi-youth style comments above to see why you’d better be either straight or closeted in America); and (2) being the only pop Music star right now who’s career isn’t based on giving straight men hard-ons. The end.
