Why Is Everyone Freaking Out About Adam Lamberts Performance?
He was just dancing and stuff. Have they not seen videos of Britney Spears, Katy Perry and so on.. He did the same as them.. Just because he is gay doesn’t mean anything.. And big deal.. Do you feel like everyone is overreacting about it?

I am surprised they are talking about all the gay stuff. I was not offended by the act at all. I don’t even think I thought it was weird because of the reasons you stated. We see it all the time with the ladies. But on the down side I did think the performance sucked. So maybe that is where all the fuel for this fire is coming. To many people just did not like the performance so they are assuming it was bad because of the gay stuff when really it was just poorly performed. I am glad I got to hear the song later (which I liked) because the live version was pathetic.
I do think a lot of the controversy was fueled by him being gay, but that wasn’t the whole reason. I don’t care that he’s gay at all, but I still don’t think he can use that as an excuse to try and justify it by saying “everyone’s just upset because I’m gay.” He said that female performers do the same thing, but if they did something so blatantly sexual like he did there would still be controversy. Remember the Madonna and Britney kiss? Or Janet Jackson flashing the world at the superbowl? I would hardly say they got off scot-Free just because they were women.
The only reason people are freaking out is because he’s crazy, that bastard is crazy.
You don’t go on National T.V and do the things that he did, especially on that type of audience. Let alone in this world we are not accustomed to seeing that kind of behavior. Think about it. We don’t see reality shows, or series where is common nowadays. Maybe you see em in one of the networks but overall, that stuff ain’t normal.
I see your point in how women get portrayed so differently than men in this issue but there’s many reasons why. And to tell you the truth, the ladies make it easy when they play around, fool and flirt around with these assumptions. Where the heck you see a guy talking about how hot or sexy that performance was? Hell no!
There is a thin line between what is common or not, plus, aren’t you ladies the most smartest, sexiest species in earth? Then I think you probably should have seen this coming. I didn’t see the performance, let alone the awards, I don’t care for that. But come on, this is a world where gays around the world get criticized and even abused for their behavior. Is it right? Maybe not but that’s how this world functions, gonna have to get used to it.

You dont see Britney Spears,Katy perry grabbing people crotches and simulation oral sex on a family network!! you really dont need to be grabbing people’s crotches to put on a good performance and Adam knew what he was doing and he knew he was on a family network.
Debauchery. Frankly, oral sex imitation sickens me. Madonna and Britney stick their butts up in the air and wear scanty costumes, frankly both are considered mental. There is little talent out there in this generation so gimmicks prevail. Adam seemed perverted and desperate. Not good + the song sucked.

I could really careless about how Provocative it was….his voice sucked in general. Its not a big deal…doesn’t affect anyone but him. With all that’s going on in the world…this really is not relevant, the News needs to get it priorities straight.
I think his performance was over the top .It was to raunchy for my taste .Dont care if hes gay are not He.should keep his antics to himself.And as for all the rest of the performers yes some went to far He himself said it was not planned ahead he just did it.
All the guys are just jealous that he’s freaking gorgeous. I’m not gay I swear, but still that is a good looking guy who has more singing talent then I have ever seen! Noone wants to give him credit where it’s do just because he’s gay.
i dont think it was that big of a deal, other than the fact that little kids were watching, but he really just did it cause he wanted the publicity and the attention.
I haven’t seen it yet, but people are stupid. When someone is different than everyone else, everyone else attacks that person. It’s a cruel world.

Every one has the right to define acceptable behavior in public and this was totally unacceptable for many people whether you are gay or straight. Assimilated Oral Sex in public is not appropriate.
